HISTORY OF PESDC

 

The Perak Entrepreneur and Skills Development Centre (PESDC) is a joint project initiated by the Federal Government, Perak State Government and manufacturers in Perak.

 

The main aim is to provide a total learning solution for the industries and acts as a platform to facilitate the promotion of Technical Skill and Management Skills for occupational competence.

 

The Centre was established in Mac 1993 as a non-profit organization registered with registrar of Society.

 

The Centre has been approved by HRDF under the Ministry of Human Resources as an Approved Training Provider and accredited  by the Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK) to run vocational / JPK courses. PESDC is also accredited training provider by SME Corp. to run short courses, re-training and re-skilling for SMEs’.

 

Since its operation 18 years ago, over 15,000 trainees in various technical skill has been trained. The courses run are competency based training approached.

 

A training complex was built on a 10 acres land equipped with state-of-art technical workshops and laboratories. It can accommodate more than 500 full time students at any one time.

 

The Skill Centre is supported by a pool of 28 experienced, dedicated & qualified professional trainers various disciplines.
